The Montana Growth Network is a nonpartisan, nonprofit grassroots effort to provide business owners and employees with helpful and accurate information about public policy impacts on Montana’s businesses. Our goal is to create a more prosperous Montana through increased issue awareness, a streamlined process for citizens to offer legislators feedback, and more informed election participation by Montana’s workforce. We want to be a trusted intermediary that busy professionals, workers, families, and communities can rely upon for a Montana context on state and federal public policy initiatives.
It is clear that money alone will not solve these problems even if it were available. We must encourage our political leaders to emulate our dynamic private sector and find cost-effective, innovate solutions to meet these challenges. Using a business-friendly principals-based framework to evaluate public policy, the Montana Growth Network will help workers to constructively participate in the dialogue to improve the business climate in Montana.
In general, we prefer the states to innovate as an alternative to the federal government spending to solve problems because 50 states is 50 experiments that others can learn from.
What is reform? It doesn’t mean a one-size fits all approach. It doesn’t mean centralizing ideas. It doesn’t mean spending money we don’t have.
Reform means government should provide the same services for less money or more services for the same money. Reform is not more government spending!
